About Me

About Me

Hi! My name is Casey Rose. I am a mother of three beautiful children and the wife of a NY State Trooper. I also have three dogs, two cats, a Russian red footed tortoise and many fish. Ever since I was a little girl, I have had a love for animals of all kinds.  I have been known to rescue cats, dogs, turtles, and even snakes off the street. Luckily, I have a very patient husband who doesn’t oppose too much when I bring home a stray cat or a last minute foster dog.  Our house might have an “extra" four legged friend staying with us from time to time but because of my passion and love for animals, it is just par for the course.

Over the years of caring for all of my animals, I have found that it can be difficult to be away from them all day while knowing that they need to go out or need to be fed. I also know that I am not the only one who has experienced this.  Whether it be a work day, visiting family, meetings, or sports after school, it can be stressful knowing your pup is waiting for you. My goal in opening Scouting All Paws, is to help relieve that daily stress for you and to provide your animals with love, care, and fun so you don’t have to rush home after a busy day.  Life can be crazy at times, so having one less thing to worry about, is invaluable.

Why the name Scouting All Paws?

Well let me tell you about my pup Scout. Scout was born on the rough streets in New Deli, India.  He was found inside of a drain after his mother was hit by a car.  Luckily for him, a kind lady scooped him up and contacted a rescue group to take him in.  He lived with a foster mom in India until he was strong enough to fly the U.S.  From there, he was placed in another foster home and that was where I adopted him.  If it were not for the rescue group and his foster mom who took him into her home, he would not be here today. Since hearing his story and experiencing what an amazing dog he is, I was compelled to learn more about the importance of rescue and fostering. About 5 years ago, I started fostering rescue dogs both with in the United States and from India. To date, I have fostered many pups with all different temperaments, ailments, sizes and ages. My plight in fostering has been challenging at times since some of the pups I take in are very ill, have had no socialization or training, and many have never been inside of a home. While it may not always be easy, I believe that like children, every pup has the innate ability to love unconditionally and should be given an opportunity to succeed. So since Scout is the reason I became much more involved in the dog world, I thought it to be only fitting to use his name in my business title.

Through my years of fostering so many different types of dogs and behaviors, I have learned a great deal in how to care for each dog individually.  Like people, every pup has their own personality, likes and dislikes, and different qualities that motivate them.  I like to really get to know each pup and learn what makes their tails wag and what gives them extra spunk in their step.  Every one of my foster pups, my own pups, and dogs that I walk, have their own unique way about them.  I can also tell you that each of them hold a very dear place place in my heart.

I am confident that with my experience and your pup's enthusiasm, we make a great team for sure!  Now lets get walking!
